Description
This Windows application will run in the background of the computer it is installed on. Every month the computer user has to enter a specific serial code, and if that code isn't entered before the beginning of the next month, a "lock" screen will fill the computer screen making it virtually impossible to work with Windows normally. There is a built-in monitor feature that will re-install WinLock if removed by the computer user (or cause an automatic lock screen if tampered with). Though this isn't completely hack-proof, it will no doubt keep the average computer user from removing this application from their computer. Application comes with manager utilities that overrides the lock screen, uninstalls WinLock, and saves information of the computer that WinLock is installed on.

Computer Central needed an application that will lock users out of their leased computer systems if a monthly payment isn't made. Before leasing out the computers, WinLock is installed and then given to the customer. When the customer makes their monthly payment, they are given a serial code that will unlock WinLock for the next month. If the customer fails to make their monthly payment, WinLock will launch its lock screen and keep the customer from using the computer normally. The lock screen has a code box that allows the customer to enter that month's serial code. Once entered, the lock screen is removed for that month. Computer Central and DMX Coding are working towards the next version of this software that will allow automatic payments, and automatic serial code entry when these payments are made.
