Description
Novacea is a privately-held biopharmaceutical company based in South San Francisco, California.
The company's licensing and drug development and commercialization efforts are focused on therapies that
are designed to fill unmet needs in oncology.
Novacea's lead investigational drug, DN-101, is a novel oral anti-cancer agent currently being evaluated in
combination with Taxotere® (docetaxel) in two clinical trials. DN-101 contains high amounts of calcitriol,
a naturally occurring hormone and biologically active form of vitamin D.
AQ4N is another novel anti-cancer compound that Novacea has licensed and is currently evaluating in a
Phase 1 clinical trial. As a first-in-class hypoxic cell-activated anti-tumor therapy, AQ4N represents a
new approach to cancer treatment.
By leveraging its product development expertise and financial resources, Novacea is committed to building a
clinical product portfolio in the field of novel therapeutics that advance the care of patients with cancer.
My role in developing Novacea included taking a web design from the Ignite
Health graphics department and producing the webpages using ASP, Javascript, and
DHTML. I've also developed the
ability for the site admin to update news items, calendar events, and job descriptions.
