Monrovia Nazarene is a small community church located in southern California off the 210 freeway. Nestled between Pasadena and Azusa, this church as been around for a long time. The congregation consists of mostly older members, but the Sunday School department is growing as well. I started attending this church in the late 90's when I needed to fulfill a ministry credit requirement for graduation from Azusa Pacific University. My ministry consisted of teaching Sunday School kids ranging from 4 years old through high school. I needed to find a common ground amoung the wide range of ages, and drama is one thing that they all related to. Each kid, whether the child is 7 or 16, can participate in whatever drama activity I have planned. It gives them a sense of satisfaction, not to mention its fun to act in front of the church.
