DMX Alert is a tool specifically for DMX Coding that notifies you when news and updates are added to the website. Most companies have email campaigns that distribute email notifications when they have news to share with their users. This can be annoying and in-effective, especially when email accounts are being flooded with spammers and advertisements. Company notifications become lost in spam and pushed to junk email folders.

This alert application simply resides in the system tray on your computer. Its smart enough to know when your connected to the internet, which means you won't need to make manual connections everytime you get on the internet. When a new update is posted on DMX Coding, it will popup an alert in the bottom-right area of your screen with a link to the website. Clicking on that link will open your browser and take you to DMX Coding to view the news item.

The alert application is also smart enough to update itself when a newer version is released. You won't have to manually download an update ... it does this for you and will run the installation itself.

Here are the current features installed with this release of DMX Alert:
  • Auto connection - Alert application will change itself to "Online" status when connected to the internet. When you disconnect, the application will automatically go "Offline".
  • Interactive popup window - When news items are added to DMX Coding, a popup window displays with a link to the site.
  • Earthquake mode - This option is available in "settings" by right-clicking the DMX Icon in your system tray. When the popup window displays, it will shake your screen for a few seconds. By default this is turned off.
  • Alert sounds - In your settings, you have the option to select from a list of sounds that will play when your notification displays.
